This is an illustration of a white pattypan squash. As the name suggests, it has a flat shape resembling a pan used for cooking patties, and many dishes utilize this shape as a vessel. Additionally, due to its bumpy and thin flat shape, it is sometimes referred to as scallop squash, and at other times as UFO zucchini, making it a very unique-shaped vegetable.
