



This is an illustration of a rare chili pepper that contains anthocyanin, the purple chili pepper. It is a native variety of Nara Prefecture (Japan) and is one of the traditional vegetables certified as a "Yamato vegetable." It turns green when heated and turns red when fully ripe.
